GIRLS WIN LITTLE MISS PAGEANT TITLES FOR 2012

A group of girls won crowns during the Little Miss Gastonia Pageant on September 24 and will represent Gaston, Cleveland and Lincoln counties for 2012.

The Miss Gastonia Scholarship Association sponsored the pageant, which featured contestants in beauty, sportswear, photogenic, and talent categories.  The winners are eligible to advance to next year's North Carolina Outstanding Little Miss and Little Miss North Carolina pageants.

The Gastonia winners were Baby Miss Kaylyna Nguyen, Miniature Miss Addison Sawyer, Tiny Miss Amelia Connor, Young Miss BreAnn Jenkins, Junior Miss Savanna Mayes and Teen Miss Lindsey Alsip.  The Gaston County winners were Baby Miss Tatiana Kish, Miniature Miss Chloe Owens, Tiny Miss Mattison Cate, Young Miss Natalie Alvarez, Junior Miss Ariel Waller, and Teen Miss Allison Houk.

The Cleveland County winners were Baby Miss Livia Ruppe, Miniature Miss Kyleigh Goode, Tiny Miss Gracie Skidmore and Young Miss Madison Kinmon.  The Lincoln County winners were Baby Miss Rieghleigh Welch, Miniature Miss Gracelynn Schronce, Tiny Miss Jersey Beattie, Young Miss Stephanie Brown and Junior Miss Kristina Sellers.

The overall winners were Mollie Gilmore, who was named Mini-Majestic Miss Gastonia, and Tara Schiphof, who was named Majestic Miss Gastonia.  The Gastonia Princess winners were Kaidence Baldwin and Caroline Lingerfelt.

The signatures winners were Mollie Gilmore, Jersey Beattie, Mattison Cate, Amelia Connor, Gracie Skidmore, Addison Sawyer, Chloe Owens, Kyleigh Goode, Tatiana Kish, Kaidence Baldwin, Rieghleigh Welch, Tara Schiphof, Ariel Waller, BreAnn Jenkins, Stephanie Brown and Madison Kinmon.  The overall signatures winners were Kaylyna Nguyen and Savanna Mayes.

The overall talent winners were Savanna Mayes, first place; Tara Schiphof, second place; and BreAnn Jenkins, third place. 

The people's choice photogenic winners were Kaylyna Nguyen and Tara Schiphof.  The photogenic finalists were Mollie Gilmore, Kaidence Baldwin, Tatiana Kish, Chloe Owens, BreAnn Jenkins, Kristina Sellers, Lindsey Alsip and Stephanie Brown.

Miss Gaston County Alexandria Freeman, Miss Gaston County's Outstanding Teen Bailee Eurey and Miss Gastonia's Outstanding Teen Lindsey Mackey were special guests and assisted with the crowning ceremony.  The pageant was a fundraiser for the Miss Gastonia scholarship fund.
